BriefCar loads Google Analytics to count page views only after you accept on the cookie bar. The legal basis is consent. That script may set Google cookies. Your session lives in sessionStorage, so it is cleared when the tab closes.

Continue with Google is optional. Using it loads Google’s script, which can set third-party cookies. We do not load that script until you click the button.

Accepting or declining the cookie notice stores that choice in localStorage so we do not show the bar again on this browser.
